Brilee’s Sunny Senior Session

By: Colleen Lennehan

I had such a fabulous time shooting Brilee’s senior photos last week at Wickham Park!

She was a natural in front of the camera, making my job so easy. I’ve gathered a few of my favorite shots to share with you, feel free to contact me if you’re interested in a senior session this spring or summer!

Blooming Bridal Brunch

By: Colleen Lennehan

Sunlight poured through the floor to ceiling windows at the Pond House Cafe Saturday morning, while friends and family came to celebrate a beautiful bride.

Julie’s sweet garden themed bridal brunch had all the necessities for a fabulous shower: delicious food, bottomless mimosas, blooming centerpieces, and a grand entrance from the groom!

Her friends and family transformed the room into a garden oasis using wooden crates, terra-cotta pots, bright blooms, and Anthropologie mugs to decorate the space.

After the fun and games guests received wildflower seed packets made by Plain Jane and chocolate flowers designed by Meredith Meade, with the lovely reminder to “let love grow”!

I hope you enjoy scrolling through the photos, I certainly was glad to capture Julie’s day!

A Cozy Couple Session

By: Colleen Lennehan

Heather and Steven’s four-legged new addition made for the perfect excuse to have a sweet photoshoot.

The majority of their photos took place at Kensington Orchards, a spot with perfect mountain views and tons of earthy elements.

Between their new pup Hunter, the natural setting, and their obvious love, this session was such an easy one to shoot!

Feel free to contact me if you’re interested in a sweet couple or family shoot!

Cozy Autumn Engagement

Between the golden hour sunbursts and the sweetness of an apple orchard, this engagement shoot is one of my favorites by far!

Marissa and Bobby smiled and danced the evening away, making these photos completely natural and full of love.

We wandered around Roger’s Orchard and a local reservoir, finding plenty of fall backdrops. My mom Lisa and I designed a cozy picnic for the pair, complete with apple cider filled antique goblets, earthy pumpkins, gold accents, and plush pillows. She also included a fall foraged arrangement full of hydrangea and wild greens.

I had such an effortless time shooting the soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs. Sirois and her antique engagement ring. I hope you enjoy seeing their genuine love!

Senior Sessions!

The switch from summer to fall has been full of golden hours and smiles!

These beautiful 2017 seniors have laid in farm fields, climbed trees, and changed in the woods and rain, all while keeping a smile on their faces!

I’m a sucker for natural light (99% of my photos are taken with this in mind) so these beautiful backdrops and locations lend an earthy vibe to each photo, all while staying unique to each senior!

Here are a few of my favorite captures, if you or someone you know is graduating in 2017 and would like to discuss a shoot, please feel free to contact me!

*Most of these photos were taken at Bostrom and Sons Tree Farm, in Berlin, CT, Rocky Hill Ferry, in Rocky Hill, CT, Elizabeth Park, in Hartford, CT, and Point O’Woods Beach, in South Lyme, CT.

Bubbly Bridal Brunch

Who wouldn’t love a bridal brunch overlooking the water?!

This past Sunday friends and family of Darci Abate sipped on cocktails and celebrated the soon-to-be bride at her families lake house.

With the help of her mom and maids (and plenty others!) Darci’s DIY shower mirrored one you would see in a magazine. From the moss stenciled table numbers to the homemade crumb cake, her morning was full of creativity.

The décors earthy feel matched the scenery perfectly, with succulents, moss, and wildflowers as key details. They even carried their theme onto the food tables, reminding guests this wasn’t an ordinary soiree!

The spread included doughnut hole kabobs, homemade muffins, and a decked out waffle bar, among dozens of other treats!

Cocktails, the key to any successful brunch, also played a major part at the party.

Mimosas and Bloody-Mary’s flowed from the beginning to the end, and were garnished properly with fruit and veggies.

Potted succulents were the perfect party favor for guests, they were stacked on antique ladders, further accentuating the rustic theme!

Darci’s “Brunch and Bubbly” bridal shower came together beautifully, but neither the flowers nor the mimosas were as sweet as she is, and I am so glad I was there to celebrate such a fabulous person!
