Connecticuts Best

The six states joining together to create New England are Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont. Each state brings something different to the table-Rhode Island always being praised on their breathtaking shoreline, the best lobsters can be caught in Maine, and the sweetest syrup drips from trees in Vermont. These are all very well known facts about the wonderful New England states; but do you know their best wedding venues?
Neither did I! So I did a little research and found the top venues in all six states, that are especially stunning in autumn! I will go through each state one by one over the next week or so, starting where my roots began!
The Constitution State
Connecticut has a wide variety of options, whether a couple wants an oceanfront view, the elegance of a vineyard (and presumably some fabulous wine), or a quaint and cozy farm wedding, just about any couple can find something that suits them.
Since autumn weddings are based widely around the foliage and earthy outdoor deco, where is a better place to wed than an orchard?
Lyman Orchards, located in Middlefield, overlooks a picture perfect golf course, stunning meadows, and of course the iconic orchards. Couples can chose between the Golf Club Pavilion, or the Lyman Homestead. Both of which are surrounded by the crisp autumn leaves creating a beautiful natural backdrop.
A winery wedding is another top notch choice for a fall wedding. There are over 25 wineries in the state, giving people plenty to chose from, however one of the most popular is the Chamard Vineyards, located in Clinton. Choosing to wed at a winery immediately creates a rustic vibe, pairing quite nicely with the autumn weather.
Both these venues have proven themselves in the wedding industry holding hundreds of weddings and events. Their locations are the prime reasons to check them out, because fall weddings are so much better outdoors these two places will “wow” anyone.
